Bohémond (?), 11th century. Seal (Lead, 29 mm, 17.39 g, 12 h). Θ / ΠЄ... Draped bust of Saint Peter facing, nimbate, raising his right hand in benediction and holding long cross in his left. Rev. KЄ ROHΘH TO CⲰ ΔOVΛO RAHMON Large cross with tendrils at the base and three pearls at the extremities; in quadrants, IC - XC / NI-KA. Unpublished in the standard references. A highly interesting seal naming a Norman. Good very fine.

From a European collection, formed before 2005.

The unusual personal name appearing at the end of the formulaic invocation is likely the Graecized form of the western name Bohémond (Baimondos).
